How are ductless mini-splits set up?

The outdoor unit connects to an air handler via a thin conduit that passes through your exterior walls. Multiple air handlers can connect to a single outdoor unit.
In warmer months, the system extracts heat and humidity from your home and transfers it outside. It’s an efficient cooling system, especially because each indoor air handler can function independently. What factors determine the size of your ductless A/C?
